Camille Babut du Marès

Arousing genuine enthusiasm at her concerts, violinist Camille Babut du Marès regularly performs on European stages in both classical and tango repertoire, while creating family shows and directing festivals.

Born in Brussels, she began the violin at 4 and made her first television appearance on RTBF at 5. At 13, she entered the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, before furthering her studies at the Koninklijke Conservatorium van Brussel, the Maastricht Conservatory under Boris Belkin, the Royal College of Music in London, and the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln.

A laureate of several competitions, notably the Osaka International Music Competition, she has been invited to perform at recitals, festivals, and concerts across Europe. She has recently performed with artists such as Gérard Caussé, Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden, Pascal Moraguès… In addition to her soloist activities, she has founded and joined many chamber music ensembles.

Since 2023, she has also evolved in the tango universe, training with Roger Helou and Guillermo Rubino. She performs with the Zinnetango quartet, founded the LUX Tango ensemble, and shares the stage with Pablo Agri, Horacio Romo...

Furthermore, Camille is the artistic director of Les Musicales de la Woluwe (since 2016) and Les Estivales de la Woluwe (since 2021).
